BRING A RIBBON, THAT IS ALL!
It is so sad that in the UK we have a Government abandoning a future for all by appealing for selfish personal greed. Using lies and distortion to justify means to hoodwink the population into thinking more of the same is justified in destroying our precious home for its own clinging onto power. Hopefully most of us can see through all of this. The evidence is becoming clearer with every natural disaster that heaps more misery on all parts of the world.
We need to look after the planet, that by its nature, supports us, not rape and pillage it. We know more CO2 from greater oil production and use is exactly what we don’t need. Even the person bringing this about knows it is wrong deep down, but self interest is clearly stronger in some misguided individuals.
We all know better. The evidence is out there for all to see. Do we just stand by and watch our world’s decent into climate chaos as different parts flood and burn?
We don’t have to just sit still and allow it; we have the opportunity in this country to show our opposition and showing it so simply and non-disruptively and caringly. Using virtually no resources, finance or carbon footprint, we can show our opposition to this injustice to ourselves, injustice to our world and injustice to our hoped-for future generations. It is time to make a stand and visually show that we care for our loved ones more than a political party’s grubby grab to cling onto its oily slippery grasp for continued discredited power.
It is time to show visually opposition in a peaceful caring way, that our future together is more important than one selfish power-wielding viewpoint.
The simple action of tying a ribbon to a traffic light is not damaging nor disruptive in any way but shows a caring concern to work together to make a better, more sustainable future. By tying a ribbon to a traffic light post or pelican crossing post, it is showing that you ‘adopt’ it and ‘transform’ it into a flashing beacon of hope from the message: Stop! Think, green planet.
A message to transcend greed and political self-interest. A message of care and hope.
Tie those ribbons. Let them flutter and tell of a person, you, who wants a hopeful, peaceful, sustainable future.
