Rebellions in history are for the most part, usually put down. So few of them are successful. What humanity needs right now is not a rebellion, but a quiet, peaceful, all pervading Environmental Revolution and that will only happen by everyone understanding how we are going to get out of this mess we have allowed to be created by selfish, powerful individuals and corporations.
An Environmental Revolution is necessary if we, the human species, are to survive the crisis that we have created in the natural world that supports us. Most urgent is the Climate Emergency and simple concerted action is required to prevent climate catastrophe, created by us in the ‘blink of an eye’ on the Geological clock.
Humanity has existed for only a tiny amount of Earth’s history, yet we have reached the point whereby if we don’t respect the natural processes that support life on this planet of ours, we, along with most other life forms today, will die out.
Only by opening our eyes to our dangerous predicament and showing the means of escape can we win this one. Even the selfish greed of the powerful elite cannot provide their survival, because what they have set in motion and continue to do so, will result in conditions on this planet that even living organisms used to surviving in extreme conditions here on Earth will struggle to survive. If we don’t change tack, this is another mass extinction event for our planet.
And yet the answer is so simple, but we need to work together, selflessly, to achieve its saving potential. It is up to us, the general, ordinary human mass of us, to learn and realise the danger and how to resolve it in the easiest, most humanly achievable, possible, natural way.
Public knowledge of the means and mechanism of global warming reversal by natural process, will ensure the Environmental Revolution we need to survive. Duckweed propagation & storage provides the means for extinction avoidance from climate catastrophe. We need to reduce fossil fuel usage at the same time as initiating massive plant growth of this saving, atmospheric stabilising, seemingly insignificant fellow life form, on this amazing planet of ours.
The means for survival exists. We just must recognise it in time and start to let it perform its natural function of sequestrating the excess carbon from the air, in the short time that we have left. We have the chance to turn in time, but if we recognise the danger too late, like the captain of RMS Titanic, our fate is set. We are at that all important moment now.
The fateful moment for the ship ‘Titanic’ was not when it hit the iceberg, but when it became too late to turn and avoid it. We are at that metaphorical moment, NOW! We need to grow and store duckweed rapidly, whilst reducing our fossil fuel usage at the same time and we might just make it. Duckweed is like the Titanic’s rudder, if it is commanded to be used by the ‘captains’ of industry and world leadership too late, we have truly had it. We are sunk! We need to recognise it and use it quickly enough to avoid catastrophe.
The equation for carbon sequestration by natural means, that duckweed answers the best, is :
MASS X TIME X SURFACE AREA …….and only duckweed has the capability to do this safely by direct action by us all, humanity acting together, to provide those human constructed extra Earth
surfaces in the form of vertically stacked growing trays. Only with duckweed is surface area able to be increased by us to whatever level we need to, in order to solve the equation for carbon sequestration survival. This means that growing duckweed in multiple stacked trays and harvesting it and storing it in solid form is our only hope now. The faster we get on with this the better our chance of survival, of turning that ‘rudder’ quickly enough.
